new DJ store alert: sector

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of stumbling upon a recently opened record shop on 3rd Avenue in Brooklyn in the Gowanus area called sector.  What caught my attention first were the toy figurines in the window display.  Inside, there were bins for house, techno, new disco, and hip hop records on the wall.  I wanted to stay longer, but since I had to run, I took a few snapshots to share:

  

Etherea Interview

There's a local-run website devoted to vinyl lovers, and I recently had the pleasure of talking with them about Etherea: Analog Apartment. BTW, the OLD RARE NEW sign on the back wall inspired the title of a documentary book about record stores by Emma Pettit, who interviewed me for it, and included some photos of Etherea inside. The sign was found on the street in front of my store one night after closing, but I believe it may have been made by The Strand Bookstore in Manhattan. Anyone recognize it?
